Spieth finished 34th last week at the PGA Championship in another attempt to complete the career grand slam, but his underlying stats proved his tee-to-green numbers were strong and he was held back by his putter. He won last month in the tournament after the Masters at the RBC Heritage and finished second in the tournament before the PGA Championship at the Byron Nelson. The name at the top that interests me the most is another Texan in Jordan Spieth (12/1). Texas native Scottie Scheffler (12/1) looks to bounce back off a missed cut in Tulsa. Last week’s winner Justin Thomas (11/1) headlines the 120-player field fresh off his PGA Championship win. The field for this event is surprisingly strong the week after a major. As a reference point, last week’s major championship at Southern Hills was also a par 70 course, but was a much longer 7,556 yards. A tighter course should give more players a chance to win this week because driving distance isn’t as important. Colonial Country Club in Forth Worth is the setting for this week and it’s a par 70 course that measures 7,209 yards. To listen to local radio on phone, below are some of the apps that you should know. While it has Apple Music 1, a station created by Apple, the coverage is limited, so it cannot stream the audio at the drive-in where you are seeing a movie. As such, it has no native AM/FM radio app. Unlike Android, an iPhone has no built-in tuner. This way, you can tune in for free and stream drive-in audio. So, if you want to play drive-in radio on iPhone you will need to do some things.Īmong others, the most important is the right app. One of the first things that you should know is that your iPhone does not pick up FM. Alternatively, you might also be asked to download a specific mobile application from the Appstore.First, you will need to tune to a specific station or channel, which is where the audio for the movie will be played. So, how can you use the radio on iPhone for drive in? Hence, it is better if there is an option to listen straight from your phone. This can ruin the entire drive-in experience. However, if you are far from the speaker, the audio might be inaudible. Traditionally, speakers were installed in key locations over the drive-in. Through a drive-in movie radio, you can have a better experience. The solution was simple – stream the audio through the radio. Over the years, this problem has been effectively addressed by drive-in cinemas. It can be difficult to hear, especially if you are not positioned next to the speakers. Nonetheless, one thing that many people did not like is the audio. While it is great to watch a movie in an indoor theater, the experience of seeing a film in a drive-in is pleasant. The idea that they were hoping to come into our home to spread their hate enraged me. But they were presumptuous in pulling into my driveway (why were they sitting there when it was clear no one was home?), and it gave me a fright.Īnd I’m just so through with these religions who equate us with criminals. If they had just knocked on my door, I never would have reacted that way, though I hope I’d have said I’m gay. So just get out of here, do you understand?” “I don’t need your good wishes, given how you feel about me. “I’m gay.” I saw a visible reaction to that. “Wait, are you Jehovah’s Witnesses?” Yes, she said. “I don’t need a visit.” They stopped in their tracks. That’s when I realized what was going on. The first woman said they were there to visit with me. Another woman got out and they both started approaching. I started thinking she was there to deliver bad news or something and I braced myself. A back door opened and a nicely dressed woman climbed out. Were they inside my house? I parked in front and started walking toward the SUV with some trepidation. There are no neighbors right by us.) I didn’t recognize the car and the windows were tinted. this is the country… so visitors always just park on the edge of our lawn. (Our house is close to the road… we have no curbs. My partner was off somewhere and wouldn’t be back for another 5+ hours.Īrriving home, I was stunned to see a big SUV in our driveway. There are different theories regarding, when life begins. While some believe that life begins at conception, there are others that do not believe in this. Is only giving birth and not killing a life, a responsible act? Isn’t providing the child with a good and most importantly, normal life, a part of being responsible? Isn’t abortion the safest and the most practical thing to do here? So, the question of responsibility is still unanswered. Knowing that they were unwanted, what would their mental state be? How would they deal with the society? How would they feel on knowing about their biological father? Would they be able to live a normal life, under such circumstances? Such things have a major effect on children. Putting aside the issues that the woman is dealing with, we should also consider the life such children would have. In such cases, why should she pay for another man’s mistakes? Such pregnancies are best terminated. Forcing her to bear the added responsibility of the child she conceived through the unfortunate act, would only add to her mental stress. If the woman was raped, it is definitely something she did not want. In situations like these, why is she to blame? The unexpected pregnancy then becomes an unwanted one too. My point here is, when the man is equally responsible for the pregnancy, why should a woman be the lone sufferer? In a lot of cases, infidelity, and a man not willing to take the child’s responsibility, are reasons why most women are forced to abort. If this is true, then it is also true that the woman did not get pregnant on her own. Talking about responsibility, it is true that everyone is responsible for their own actions. An adolescent is neither mentally nor physically ready to continue a pregnancy. Unwanted teenage pregnancy can have serious complications, if the pregnancy is continued. This certainly does not affect the woman’s health gravely or her ability to conceive in the future. As a result, abortions pose only 0.5% risk for the woman to develop serious complications. Most of the abortions are done during the first trimester, when it is the safest. It depends on the mother, through the placenta and the umbilical cord, for nutrition and health, and hence should not be considered a separate entity.Ī lot of care and precautions are taken while carrying out an abortion. One of the important abortion facts is that most of the abortions take place in the first trimester, when the fetus cannot live independent of the mother. However, should the right of a fetus be greater than that of a woman who, in majority of the cases, would bear the responsibility of the unplanned child? It is true that life in every form should be respected. A fetus may be alive, but so are sperms and eggs. One of the most pertinent questions regarding abortion is, ‘When does life begin?’. Denying her the right to her body is violating her most basic freedom. If she decides not to have a pregnancy, she should be able to do so. When a woman is pregnant, it is her body that goes through all the stress of pregnancy. In such a case, abortion becomes her best option.Ĭontrol over her body and the freedom to decide the course of her life is critical to a woman’s civil rights. This certainly spells a bleak future for such girls. With a life to support, many such girls drop out of school and start working, in order to fend for the child. A minor mother isn’t psychologically ready to handle the responsibilities of a child. She may not even be able to provide her child with everything it requires. She may be immature, and may not be in a position to take the responsibility of a new life altogether. If a woman is below the age of 21 (at least), she is too young to have a baby. These reasons would include age, society, responsibility, and a lot many other reasons. Women choose to abort due to a lot of difficult circumstances. So, why do they abort in the first place? Is she being plain cruel? Does she not care about the fetus (her child)? Such questions should be rendered invalid. First of all, it is very important to understand why women opt for abortion.
These days, the best drone software is custom-tailored to offer additional features beneficial to the construction industry. The additional good news on drones for wall and ceiling contractors is that the software behind the aircraft has evolved well beyond the simple ability to fly and navigate miniature aircraft. Plus, project-progress maps generated by drones can also generally be easily printed and posted in hardcopy form on site to give everyone involved in the project a quick update on how the job is progressing. The benefit comes in very handy, for example, when you need to give a customer a walk-through on an unexpected development in a project-such as mold found behind a wall, or the questionable integrity of a load-bearing beam-with up-close video taken with a drone. Most drone software solutions also offer the ability to automatically upload captured video to the cloud, where it can be easily distributed to your crew, business partners, subcontractors and customers. “Progress photos (included in DroneDeploy) solves this by creating a visual timeline of a project from start to finish.” However, it’s difficult to create consistent site imagery over the course of a project,” says Mike Winn, CEO, DroneDeploy. “Regular site progress reports offer context and add new dimensions to construction projects. Meanwhile, other packages like DroneDeploy ( a cloud-based drone software solution, are specially designed to keep a running historic account of job progress, which you and your customers can access at any time. And the package can also immediately generate a 3D map can be immediately for easy job site study. Shike says all settings for a typical drone flight with Explore 1-taking off, route planning and landing-are automated with the software. Now it is possible to perform drone surveying every day.” “But by implementing Explore1 ( ), users can carry out surveying quickly and easily. “Conducting a site survey using a drone used to take hours,” says Chikashi Shike, president, Smart Construction Promotion at Komatsu. Skycatch’s Explore 1, for example, is one of a number of drone software solutions that offer the ability to easily chronicle a project on a daily basis. Simply schedule a flight with the software, and the drone will fly and report on the progress of your project as often as you’d like-once a week, once a day-or even once an hour. One of the greatest benefits of a drone for wall and ceiling contractors is its ability to quickly capture a comprehensive view of any job site. And nearly 18 percent of those surveyed said they are currently using drones for photogrammetry-or the process of stitching together a series of photos to create a comprehensive view of indoor or outdoor scenes. The survey also found that 35 percent of medium and large companies that are using drones are construction and engineering firms. Those sentiments are echoed by the “Construction Technology Trends – 2018 Report” from SoftwareConnect ( ), which found that 26 percent of small to midsize construction businesses are either already using drones on the job site or plan to use them by 2020. “Now more than ever, stakeholders on site-or in the head office miles away-can stay up-to-date with exactly what’s happening on the ground.”Īdds Michael Chasen, CEO of PrecisionHawk ( another maker of drone aircraft and software for the construction industry: “Drones have proven to be a transformative force for business intelligence and operations.” “It’s all about empowering worksites with the information they need to make data-driven decisions to reduce costs, ensure quality and use resources efficiently,” says John Frost, vice president, business development, Propeller (a maker of cloud-based drone analytics software. No longer a plaything of gadget-lovers, drones are making serious inroads with wall and ceiling contractors, enabling those businesses to save significant dollars on surveying, creating 3D renderings of jobs on-the-fly, regularly capturing videos of jobs in progress-and more. Taupin has said on multiple occasions that he came up with the famous opening lyrics of the song while driving. Bernie Taupin got the lyrics of song’s opening lines while driving However, neither Elton nor Taupin has confirmed this interpretation as the real meaning of “Rocket Man”. Many analysts have referred to the lyrics of the tune as telling the sad story of how in the real world, musical artists (especially very successful rock stars) are forced by their work to constantly be away from their families and friends. Rocket man burnin’ out his fuse up here alone” Interpretation of the lyrics of “Rocket Man” ‘Til touchdown brings me ’round again to find “And I think it’s gonna be a long, long time It is noteworthy that Taupin himself has confirmed the inspiration of his lyrics came from Bradbury’s short story. The story above acted as the main foundation and inspiration for Elton’s “Rocket Man” whose lyrics were penned by Elton’s long-time songwriting partner Bernie Taupin. In so doing, the pair end up becoming nocturnal. His wife and son become so overcome by sorrow that they spend the rest of their lives avoiding the sun. Sadly, during the trip, the rocket he’s flying in crashes into the sun killing him instantly. But before doing so, he decides to go on one final trip to space. But one day, he summons the courage to quit. However, his obsession for the stars wouldn’t let him. On multiple occasions, the astronaut tries quitting his beloved job to spend time with his wife and kid (Doug). He dearly wants to be with his family yet he loves the stars in space. Bradbury’s story is about an astronaut who is torn between going to space and being with his family. The lyrics of this iconic song were heavily inspired by a 1950s short story titled “The Rocket Man” by the late American author Ray Bradbury. The raw emotion that was put in to this band was everything I was feeling. My best friend at the time Bobbie showed me Motion City Soundtrack and I feel in love. I didn't know how to deal With everything that was going on in my life so I turned to music. For any one who knew me back then knows I was a very emo (still kinda am) ball of teenage hate. The first time I saw them I was in 8th grade trying to figure out who I was and how to handle the world. My second favorite band Motion City Soundtrack is retiring after this tour and I was lucky enough to see them one last time. Shoot out to Johnathan Duong for coming with me and being a part of this!! #farewelltour #motioncitysoundtrack #committhistomemory #evenifitkillsme Phoenix, AZ was one of the most bitter sweet nights of my life. You will for ever be a huge part of who I am and I hope one day you will do a reunion tour, then maybe I can relive this amazing night. You have thought me that I can and will make it through anything with just a little help and I have to try my hardest even if it kills me. I am so glad that I was able to see you for the last time is such an intimate setting. THANK YOU!! you have giving your heart and soul to us, your fans and we love you endlessly in return. From the very excellent band Motion City Soundtrack, I give you Crooked Ways.Tonight was one of the most bitter sweet nights of my life. I hope you love it as much as I do, though I’m not sure that’s possible. Skip to the happy ending: with an assist from Alex the Amazing, I was able to get in touch with the band and to my great joy, they were willing to help out. It wouldn’t be the Midnight Sun playlist without THE song. There was pruning to be done, adding, subtracting, searching for songs that captured what I needed… but then this big problem. When I realized that Midnight Sun was actually going to happen, that I was going to be able to finish it, my mind quickly turned to the playlist. I’ve been listening to this song for a decade, all by myself. It only existed on an old submissions CD and my personal Midnight Sun playlist. So it just sat there, being perfect for a story that was only in my head. Perhaps because it was such a specifically Edwardian song, it never found a place in a Bella-centric movie. The joy of first love plus the sure knowledge of impending tragedy. There was this one song by one of my favorite bands-it was such an amazing encapsulation of Edward’s mindset throughout Twilight, the despair and the hope and the despair again. Often, things I loved were released separately later. The director couldn’t choose every single song they loved. The one and only Alex Patsavas was our music supervisor (look her up, odds are that if you’ve ever thought, “Wow, that series has excellent music,” she was probably the reason why), and she showered us with mind-blowing options, some written specifically for the movies, some not. It was a smorgasbord of audial awesomeness. You know we had some really incredible music on all the soundtracks, but you should have seen everything we had to choose from. Many years ago, when I was working on the Twilight movies, one of the really fun parts of producing was listening to songs that had been submitted for consideration for the soundtrack. It doesn’t fit into a specific place in the story, it’s the overarching theme song for the whole novel. One last song from the playlist revealed today – and this is the big one. One more night before you hold Edward in your hands in all his twisted glory! |
